Our experienced Board and leadership oversee the foundation's operations and ensure its effective stewardship of assets and charitable giving. They are responsible for establishing policy, managing funds, and overseeing the grantmaking process, ultimately contributing to the foundation's mission of improving the community.

Our Board members actively volunteer to lead, produce, and support Fountain Valley Community Foundation and City of Fountain Valley events.
The Board members also volunteer their expertise to support our social media/marketing, fundraising and grant programs.

Nominating Process for the FVCF Board of Directors
We have 15 Board members.
New Board member appointments occur during the month of January. Nine (9) of our Board are appointed by City Council. The City of Fountain Valley will publish openings on the FVCF Board in their annual announcement of all committee and board openings. The FVCF Board appoints the final six (6) Board members. Those applications are accepted in January and appointments are often made in February.
The FVCF Board can, however, appoint new board members as needed. Applications may be submitted at any time and all applications on file will be considered when appointments are made.
FVCF bylaws require that applicants live, work or serve the City of Fountain Valley and may not be paid city employees.
