FREE E-Waste Recycling, Paper Shredding and Compost Bags

E-waste recycling is crucial for environmental protection, human health, and resource conservation, as it prevents toxic materials from entering the environment and allows for the recovery of valuable materials that can be reused.

The damage that e-waste poses to our health and the environment may exceed the destructive power of all other wastes combined. E-waste contains toxic materials. Once it is exposed to strong UV radiation or corrodes due to any other physical or chemical reasons, toxic materials can be released into the atmosphere, infiltrate the soil, and flow into the water bodies nearby, affecting public health.

Fountain Valley Community Foundation, in collaboration with the City of Fountain Valley and Republic Services is promoting responsible disposal practices and raising public awareness by hosting a FREE Electronics Recycling, Paper Shredding event on Saturday, September 6th at Fountain Valley Recreation Center. We will also be distributing ready-to-use compost free of charge.
